Hi, I'm Kyle.

I've been trained to support those who are grieving, earning my masters in clinical social work, working in home-based hospices, and most recently getting certified as a grief coach and grief educator.

Beyond my professional training, my personal life has included abundant loss and grief which I've been able to turn into growth and transformation. With Life Beyond Loss, my mission is to help others do the same.

What can you get from 1:1 grief coaching?

A container for processing grief

We'll have 8 sessions (55 minutes each). These will be a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for continuing to express and process your grief. Grief isn't a clinical disorder. It's a natural process that we go through when we lose something important to us. I witness and companion you through your unique grief process.

Help setting goals

We'll establish an overarching goal for our work together, and establish weekly goals towards that end. We'll talk about the six needs of people who are grieving, and come up with strategies for getting those needs met. Losing something or someone important to us reshapes who we are, and what's important to us. I help you recalibrate and redefine that.

Building up yourself and your tribe

In our work together, you'll get a deeper understanding of, and self-compassion for, yourself as you move through your grief. You'll learn how to ask for and accept help, and identify a tribe of 2-3 people who can provide support during your grief process.

Resources and planning

You'll get a tailored toolkit of resources, tips, and tricks to cope with grief and intense emotions, including guided visualizations / meditations intended to envision life after loss. Together we can create a plan for how to honor your loss through ritual and memorialization.

What's the difference between grief coaching and therapy?

Therapy may be a better fit if your loss has re-awakened prior trauma from childhood or adulthood and this re-activation is deeply impairing your daily functioning. Therapy tends to be more reflective on the past, whereas coaching tends to be more focused on the future. During our free initial consultation, we can determine together whether coaching is the right fit.

How much does grief coaching cost?

In an attempt to keep grief support affordable to a broader market, I keep my pricing below the coaching market. I offer clients a cost-saving 8 session package for $895 (approx $110/session). Each session is 55 minutes. If paying for package in one lump sum is prohibitive, clients can pay per session ($135).
